Vocal cord nodule

A vocal cord nodule is the most common cause of voice problems. They are small swellings on the free margin of the vocal cords (usually both), often at the junction of the anterior one-third and posterior two-thirds of the free margin of the vocal cords. Vocal cord nodules give rise to hoarseness.
