Coping with everyday pain isn’t easy. The idea that you should ‘accept’ the pain can be quite challenging. Why would you give up the fight against pain, when you want to be rid of it anyway?
Yet many people find that it helps to gradually shift your focus: from simply trying to control the pain, to recognising what you need, and what you’d like to be able to do again, despite the pain.
You don’t have to go on this journey alone. With the Pain Centre’s multidisciplinary team, you can follow a personalised programme over the course of a year. We’ll help you understand how chronic pain affects your body and your day-to-day functioning. Together, we’ll piece together a puzzle that can often provide valuable insights.

We organise a free information session every month. During this session, we explain how pain develops in our bodies and what the pain management programme actually involves. This allows you to assess whether the programme meets your needs.
After attending the information session, you can register with the pain management nurse, who will schedule the necessary appointments for you.
You can obtain the dates for these information sessions from your referring doctor’s practice.
The best way to register is by emailing pijnkliniek@yperman.net.
Please state your first name, first name, date of birth and referring doctor.
