Haemodialysis
During haemodialysis, blood is pumped through an artificial kidney. In the artificial kidney, the blood is cleaned of all waste products and the excess fluid is removed from the blood. Purified blood is then returned. In this case, all the blood flows through the artificial kidney several times.
