Home monitoring after colon surgery

You are monitored remotely for one week after your discharge. At home, you measure several health parameters daily, such as your temperature, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, blood pressure and heart rate. This data is automatically transmitted to the hospital. The necessary equipment will be provided to you upon discharge.

In addition, you report via an app how you feel and whether you experience symptoms, such as abdominal pain, nausea, bowel problems or wound issues. The care team closely monitors this data and will contact you if any abnormalities are detected. In this way, changes in your health can be identified quickly and timely intervention can be provided.
