This is an injection into one or more occipital nerves. These are located on the back of the head, just under the skin. These are located on the back of the head. These nerves can be a major source of chronic headaches.
During the diagnostic infiltration, the nerve is numbed with a local anaesthetic. After the diagnostic infiltration, the doctor will check whether your symptoms are temporarily better. If your pain is temporarily reduced, we can proceed with a radiofrequency current treatment to reduce the pain over a longer period of time.
