Radiofrequency ablation of the stellate ganglion

Heat treatment of the stellate ganglion is a treatment in which a nerve node (=stellate ganglion) of the involuntary nervous system is treated with heat using a needle.

The treatment can be applied for:

  • nerve pain in the lower jaw, neck, shoulder, chest and arm
  • complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

The radiofrequency treatment of the stellate ganglion is preceded by a diagnostic block of the stellate ganglion.
