Volunteers are an added value within our hospital, complementing the service provided by our staff.
The volunteers offer a wide range of services, such as helping out at reception, reading to children at the paediatric ward, library work, counselling palliative patients, volunteers from the pastoral service, etc.
To this end, the Jan Yperman Hospital works closely with volunteer associations such as Present (Caritas), Red Cross, VLK and MS-Liga to ensure proper support. All our volunteers make time for a chat and give extra attention and warmth to patients who need it. You can recognise the volunteers by their badges.
