The doctor visits the ward every day. The doctors take turns working in the department. There is a weekly multidisciplinary consultation (social services, doctors, dialysis nurse and head nurse) about the admitted patients.

Assistant doctors/specialist doctors in training (ASO)

The nephrologists and infectious disease specialists are responsible for the master's programme for doctors specialising in internal medicine. The ASO normally visits the ward every day, together with the specialist doctor. The ASO is also the first point of contact if the family wishes to speak to a doctor.

What does the daily schedule look like?

In the morning, patients are cared for and most examinations are scheduled. There are no visits in the morning to ensure that everything runs smoothly. In order to provide high-quality and patient-safe care, it is important for nurses to exchange information. Between 6.30 and 7 a.m., 1 and 2 p.m., and 9 and 9.30 p.m., one team passes on information to the next team. As a result, a call or question may take a little longer to be answered.

Contact

You can always call the department on 057 35 64 21 to request information. Please call between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. In the morning. The doctor still has to visit and it is often difficult to provide much information.

Visiting hours are from 3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
