Dialysis is kidney function replacement therapy that takes over the functioning of your kidneys. It removes the waste products and excess fluid from your blood and corrects the composition of the salts and acidity of your blood. The dialysis ward is aimed at different kinds of patients

The dialysis ward focuses on patients

  • with acute renal failure requiring urgent renal function replacement treatment (dialysis)
  • with very advanced (terminal) chronic kidney disease and in need of renal function replacement treatment (dialysis)
  • who, due to acute or chronic illness, require temporary or permanent treatment with plasmapheresis/plasma exchange.
