In facial paralysis, the muscles in the face suddenly become paralysed.
This usually occurs on one side of the face. The corner of the mouth droops, one eye no longer closes properly and talking and swallowing is difficult. Facial nerve paralysis is caused when the facial nerve no longer works properly.
Please contact your treating doctor for more information.
