Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy means looking into the joint.

This is usually the knee, sometimes the shoulder or ankle, and occasionally the elbow, wrist or hip. The doctor can use the arthroscope to examine joints internally for damage, such as torn cartilage, torn meniscus, torn ligaments, broken bones, floating pieces of bone or cartilage, wear and tear of the joint, inflammation...

Please contact your treating doctor for more information.
