Pityriasis alba (pale, vaguely defined patches on cheeks or forehead)

Pityriasis alba is a very common skin condition, especially in children under the age of 12. The condition consists of pale and vaguely defined patches mainly on the cheeks or forehead, often with very fine scaling.

The patches usually fade in the winter months, but become clearly visible again during the summer months.

Your treating doctor will discuss the treatment options with you.
