When the maxillofacial surgeon wants a detailed X-ray picture of one or a few teeth, a small X-ray can be made by means of a plate that is placed briefly into the mouth. You are undoubtedly familiar with this technique from your visits to the dentist.
These radiographs have often already been taken by your dentist before they refer you for surgery. With your consent, we aim to exchange these radiographs digitally, which prevents repeated radiographs being taken unnecessarily.
