RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) in young children

RSV can cause bronchiolitis in young children. This is an inflammatory response to the small bronchioles. Children suffer from severe coughing spells, fever and shortness of breath.

Some children with severe shortness of breath and a lot of difficulty drinking may require admission.
