A static kidney scintigraphy is an examination of the kidneys carried out using a radioactive substance.
The injection that is administered serves to check whether there is an infection on the kidneys, whether there is any renal cortical scarring, and whether the kidneys are both still functioning equally. The examination takes place lying down and in two parts. The first part (after 4 hours) lasts around 35 minutes, and the next day it takes 10 minutes.
