Tachycardia (heart beats too rapidly)

If the heart beats too rapidly, this is referred to as tachycardia. The time between heartbeats is then too short to allow the heart to fill up again, which means that the body does not receive enough oxygenated blood.

The most common form of tachycardia is what is known as atrial fibrillation. This causes the anterior chambers to go haywire, while the heart chambers pump through at a slightly increased frequency.
