The Nephrology Department is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic kidney diseases and the Chronic Kidney Failure Care Programme (ZTN). The nephrologists care for patients both during consultations and during hospitalisation. During consultations, your kidneys are carefully monitored and deterioration of the kidneys is slowed down as much as possible. In addition, in collaboration with the kidney care plus and dialysis team, training and guidance are offered to patients and their families in choosing kidney replacement therapy. Finally, the nephrology department also offers kidney transplants, in close collaboration with recognised transplant centres.
