Consultation

• Please bring the following with you to each consultation:
• Current medication list
• Possibly a list with follow-up blood pressure and/or weight
• Glycaemia booklet (if you have diabetes)
• EPO form (if you get EPO)
• A copy of the latest lab values
• List of vaccinations administered
• Identity card

Hospitalization

Hospitalisation may sometimes be required to work out the medical problems in renal failure. In patients with reduced renal function, more cardiovascular diseases and infections occur with greater hospitalisation needs.

Acute renal failure also usually requires emergency hospitalisation for diagnosis and treatment.
