Pneumology focuses on diseases of the lungs and the respiratory tract, including both the upper and lower airways. Please remember to bring your medication list to your consultation. If you use inhalers, bring them with you as well.

A team, consisting of 6 pneumologists, offers specialised care for all diseases of the lungs and the respiratory tracts.

  • Chronic Respiratory Diseases
    Follow-up and treatment of chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, chronic bronchitis, and asthma.
  • Lung Infections and Interstitial Lung Diseases
    Diagnosis and treatment of lung infections, tuberculosis, and interstitial conditions such as pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, and alveolitis.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergies
  • Diagnosis, Treatment, and Follow-up of Oncological Lung Problems and Tumoral Thoracic Conditions
  • Diagnostic Procedures
    Diagnosis using bronchoscopy, EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound), and transthoracic punctures under ultrasound or CT guidance.
  • Pulmonary Function Testing
    Spirometry and advanced lung function tests, such as an ergospirometric exercise test, for accurate assessment of breathing and lung capacity.
  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation
    Guidance in respiratory rehabilitation for lung diseases such as COPD, or in preparation for and follow-up after lung transplantation.
  • Home Oxygen Therapy
    Assessment and initiation of home oxygen therapy using liquid oxygen or an oxygen concentrator.
  • Sleep Studies for Sleep Apnoea and Guidance for Initiating CPAP Treatment
  • Smoking Cessation Support
