Nose correction or rhinoplasty

A rhinoplasty is an aesthetic procedure for the nose. In this surgical procedure, the function and/or shape of the nose is changed by removing or adding cartilage and/or bone.

There are two kinds of treatments:

  • a closed treatment
  • or an open treatment

With a closed rhinoplasty only internal, and therefore invisible, incisions are made.

With a open rhinoplasty a small incision is made in the skin between both nostrils. Although a small incision is made in the skin, the scar usually heals well and is practically invisible.
