Percutaneous kidney stone removal is indicated for very large kidney stones where a kidney stone crush or where keyhole surgery via the natural route (ureterorenoscopy) is no longer feasible.
This technique allows a large kidney stone to be removed more quickly and efficiently, with a greater chance of clearing all stones.
