Plexus coeliacus block

This treatment is used in cases of severe pain due to a tumour of organs in the upper abdomen. These organs include the pancreas, the stomach and the liver. The treatment involves blocking the nerve network (=plexus coeliacus) in the upper abdomen. It generally provides a good reduction of pain and on average the effect lasts for several months.
