A stellate block is a treatment in which a nerve node of the involuntary nervous system (stellate ganglion) in the neck is treated with a needle.
This treatment is used in some cases for nerve pain in the lower jaw, neck, shoulder, chest and arm. The treatment is also applied in case of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
