On the occasion of 20 years patient rights, the ombuds services of the hospitals within the TRIaz network, together with the network management, organised an afternoon symposium on Monday 25 April 2022: 'Straight to the point: how a conversation puts us on the road to proper care.'
Guest speaker and inspirational speaker is care ethicist Linus Vanlaere. Linus is connected to Hogeschool VIVES (nursing and midwifery college) and to KU Leuven. For several years now, Linus has been thinking and writing about what makes care relationships beneficial, both for the person receiving the care and for the person providing the care. In this lecture, he talks about this virtuous care in the context of patients' rights and the step 'further' that is taken every day by healthcare professionals who enter into dialogue with patients.
