Surgical release of a nerve

In case of long-term complaints and when there is a permanent loss of feeling and/or strength in the fingers, it is best to surgically detach the nerve.

Different options are available: releasing only the nerve (release in situ, possibly endoscopically) or releasing the nerve and moving it forward. In most cases, it is sufficient to loosen the nerve. In case of instability of the nerve or in case of revision surgery, the nerve is usually displaced as well.
