Child and adolescent psychiatry Twoape

Mission

Based on an open dialogue and a recovery-oriented support, we offer short-term, interdisciplinary paediatric psychiatric day care for minors (aged 6-18), in cooperation with their surroundings. The aim is to form a complementary and connecting interface within both the minor’s care path and the West-Flemish care landscape.

Vision

Human vision: The aim of our work is seeing minors as the unique persons they are within their own context. Based on our sincere interest and open dialogue, we try to tune in to all those involved. Everything we do is based on an unconditional respect for yourself, others and the environment. It is our ambition to stimulate development in line with care needs, at the pace and in accordance with the strengths of the minor and his or her environment. With respect for everyone’s perception and perspective, and build our support from there.

Organisational culture: In our interdisciplinary team, open dialogue and mutual respect are important. As a team we are committed to continuous reflection, active learning and care optimisation. Our integrated care means that we cooperate intensively and attach importance to the exchange of expertise between different stakeholders.

Offer

Twoape is a day treatment unit spread over 4 different units (Ypres, Pittem, Roeselare 1 and Roeselare 2), each with its own typical characteristics.

Twoape @ Ypres

Team: 4 psychiatric nurses, a social nurse, an educator, two psychologists and a teacher.
Target group: children (aged 8-14 years) who have become stuck in their development and who cannot be helped with the existing assistance.
Duration: max. 8 weeks
Programme:
- - Mon, Tue, Thu 8.30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    - reception from 8.15 a.m., pick-up until 4.30 p.m.
  - Wed, Fri 8.15 a.m. - 3.15 p.m.
    - reception from 8.15 a.m., pick-up until 3.45 p.m.

The minor’s care providers can sign the minor up by means of the registration form available here.

If you have any questions about the registration form, please call the general coordinator Tine Hollevoet on 0470 90 41 63.

We can start when there is a willingness to cooperate on the part of all those involved and if it is safe enough for the minor (no acute danger situation).
