Allergy tests can be done by means of a skin prick test or by means of blood sampling. The doctor will decide which test is best for your child.
We sometimes use skin tests to determine what allergies you have. For common allergies such as pollen, dust mite, animals (cat, dog, etc.) we use a skin prick test. We apply drops containing the possible allergens on the forearm for this, and prick the skin with a very fine needle. After 15 minutes, we check whether there is any slight swelling at the prick sites. This indicates that you may be allergic to this product.
Important:
Many allergies are caused by IgE antibodies and immunoCPAP . These IgE antibodies are specifically directed against the substance(s) against which you react and thus provoke the allergic reaction. We can determine these IgE antibodies in the blood in a very simple way. The tests require no special preparation and can be performed every day.
