Sacrocolpopexy/sacrohysteropexy is a procedure to repair a prolapse of the vaginal vault or uterus.
The operation is designed to restore the normal position of the vagina and its function. We speak of a sacrocolpopexy when there is no uterus left. We speak of a sacrohysteropexy when the uterus is still present.
