Osteoarthritis, or wear and tear of the joint, can also occur at the elbow, just like in the hip, knee and other joints.
The patient will experience pain when lifting, twisting or wringing, may occasionally drop objects and in some cases also be disturbed at night by pain and/or blockages. This mainly occurs in people who have performed heavy manual labour or have had a past elbow fracture or dislocation.
