Swimming is one of the few sports that can be practised safely throughout pregnancy. Under the expert guidance of a physiotherapist, preparatory exercises are given in the water.
The advantage of moving in warm water is that your back relaxes and you move more easily and smoothly. Moreover, warm water stimulates the general circulation.
During pregnancy, you may develop various symptoms, such as back pain, heavy legs, swollen feet, etc.
With a varied programme, we provide circulation-stimulating exercises, posture correction and training of the pelvic floor muscles.
Towards the end of the pregnancy, we concentrate more on the correct breathing techniques to cope with contractions. Before the actual birth of the baby, the pushing techniques are learned. You will learn how to press efficiently.

Pregnant women sometimes need to be monitored in hospital during the pregnancy on the advice of the gynaecologist. During this monitoring, the well-being of the baby can be assessed. This is always done on referral from the gynaecologist.
If you are worried, call the maternity ward first on 057 35 60 61.
You always come in through the emergency department, both day and night.
