Geriatric day hospital

The purpose is to determine the causes of your health problems in the short term. A multidisciplinary team provides appropriate advice. This means that you will be admitted for a few hours up to a day for diagnosis and/or treatment. You can go there either coming from your home environment or from a residential and care centre. Admission is always in close consultation with your GP or treating doctor.

Problems treated include:

• Memory (see the memory clinic brochure)
• Gait and fall problems
• Osteoporosis
• General decline
• Examinations in preparation for surgery or oncology treatment
• A combination of examinations and specific consultations organised on one day
• Polypharmacy
• Blood transfusion
• Continence service

Opening hours of the geriatric day hospital

From Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, on Fridays only available by phone from 8 am to 5 pm.
